The Showmen Bluegrass "Extraordinaire" Band brings to Central Texas a steller roundup of five great musicians, each eager to use there talents to entertain folks. There's Pete Huey, the newest member, who provides lead vocals and lead guitar. Born in Texas Pete has already played country, bluegrass, and gospel music with several other Central Texas bands.

 

When band manager Bill Lloyd cuts lose on the 5 string banjo, it's easy to guess he was born and raised in Bluegrass country --- that is , Virginia. After many years in the American Bluegrass circuit, Bill now performs and manages the Showmen,

 

Doug Taylor, from Oklahoma, travelled the country performing on bass and guitar before becoming one of the showmen. He became interested in bluegrass music after seeing the movie Deliverance, with it's dueling banjos.

 

Justin Farrow, born in Texas, has been playing fiddle from an early age. Now he not only performs with the Showmen, but is Music Director at Life Church in Round Rock Texas, and teaches privite lessons for viola,and fiddle in Georgetown, Texas.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

Through Betty & Gene Wolf of Sharity Productions, Three Members of the premier Showmen Bluegrass "Extraordinaire" band, ( Bill, Doug, and Justin) opened for celebrated country singer Ray Price, at both  The Paramount Theater in Austin Texas, and the Cailloux theater in Kerrville Texas. All were sell outs!
